Marcella Meredith

Marcella Meredith has spent more than 25 years building a career around performance, education, communication, and the human voice.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Marcella began singing at seven years old behind a closed bedroom door, singing along to her favorite Linda Ronstadt albums. That early fascination eventually led her from the bedroom to professional stages throughout the Southeast.
She holds a Bachelor of Music from Berry College, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Georgia State University, and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida. She also studied as a Scholar Performer through the Brightleaf Music Workshop at Duke University.
Her performance career encompasses opera, musical theatre, concert performance, sacred music, recording, commercial work, film, television, voice-over, and contemporary music.
A Career on Stage
Marcella performed with the Atlanta Opera for more than 15 years, appearing in an extensive repertoire that includes The Magic Flute, Madama Butterfly, The Flying Dutchman, The Elixir of Love, Orfeo et Euridice, Akhnaten, Cold Sassy Tree, The Marriage of Figaro, Carmina Burana, Il trovatore, Pagliacci, Romeo et Juliette, Don Giovanni, Carmen, Eugene Onegin, Aida, La Rondine, The Pearl Fishers, Otello, Un ballo in maschera, and Falstaff. Her Atlanta Opera work has taken her to major Atlanta venues including the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Fox Theatre, and Atlanta Civic Center, as well as the Emory Schwartz Center.
Her musical theatre credits include The Music Man with Theater of the Stars at the Fox Theatre, Once Upon a Mattress, Nunsense, and Anything Goes. Her concert work has included featured solo and section-leader engagements, including performances of Handel's Messiah, Fauré's Requiem, Broadway repertoire, and new works.
She has worked with directors, conductors, composers, performers, and creative teams across opera, theatre, concert music, and commercial entertainment.
Inside the Entertainment Industry
One of the less visible but formative chapters of Marcella's career took place behind the stage.
From 2006–2008, Marcella served as Director of Entertainment for Wild Bill's, a 5,000-seat entertainment venue featuring two stages and nine bars.
She managed the house band and artist development program and oversaw talent advancement and the venue's ongoing entertainment slate, including DJs, dancers, opening artists, special events, and large-scale productions.
The position placed her directly inside the machinery of live entertainment, working with touring artists, emerging performers, production teams, and entertainment professionals.
It also gave her something that would later become central to SingerCEO:
an understanding of the artist's career from both sides of the stage.
Stage, Screen & Media
Marcella's on-camera work includes film, television, commercial campaigns, and hosted media.
Her screen credits include The Last of Robin Hood and the pilot episode of Franklin & Bash. She has also appeared in regional commercial campaigns including Foot Solutions, Chapes JPL, and D. Harrison Volkswagen.
She has worked as a voice-over artist and maintains a professional voice-over demo.
Marcella also served as host of The Drive Channel / Motorsports Unplugged, bringing her performance and communication skills into the world of automotive and motorsports media.
The Educator
Teaching has always been part of Marcella's artistic life.
She has taught college-level vocal technique at the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media (AIMM) and has provided private voice and piano instruction through Meredith Studios. Her teaching has included beginning musicians as well as young artists pursuing professional development.
Her approach is grounded in a belief that singers become more capable artists when they understand the instrument they are using.
That philosophy became the foundation for SingerCEO.
SingerCEO brings together vocal anatomy, physiology, technique, artistry, and the practical realities of building a life in music. The project currently includes a six-part Vocal Anatomy Series with accompanying educational resources and is expanding into a college lecture series and workbook designed for singers and music students.
Current Work
Marcella continues to perform professionally while developing new educational and creative work.
She has served as a Staff Singer at Northside United Methodist Church since 2024.
Her current work also includes private instruction through Meredith Studios, development of the SingerCEO lecture series and workbook, and Voice & Vision, a YouTube channel she hosts covering performance, communication, personal insights, speech and voice topics, creativity, and the intersections of her professional experience.
She is also developing original music, including original songwriting and ambient and chant-inspired projects.
The Voice Beyond Singing
Marcella's work as a speech-language pathologist has given her an additional perspective on communication, anatomy, development, and the human voice.
She holds an M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida and founded MPMC Therapy, a pediatric speech-language practice.
While that work exists separately from her artistic career, the study of communication has deeply informed the way she approaches voice, teaching, and human expression.
